In the region of Tarvisio in Italian Julian Alps, you can enjoy all kinds of winter snow fun activities, including skiing on slopes in ski resorts, ski touring and also cross-country skiing.

Ski resort Sella Nevea

Skiing in beautiful surrounding with the possibility to pass to the Slovenian side - this ski resort is a hidden treasure. With a very quick cable card and prices that are hard to match, this is a perfect spot for your skiing adventures. We highly recommend having some refreshments in the Refugio Gilberti at the top of the resort. 

Ski resort Tarvisio / Monte Lussari

Skiing slopes start right from the village of Tarvisio overlooking the surrounding valleys. In this resort, everyone can find its slope based on skill level and preferences. An absolute must is to get some refreshment in the form of drinks, food, and stunning views from the scenic Monte Lussari where some cable cards finish. We recommend using free parking near Telecabina Monte Lussari.

Ski resort Krajnska gora / Podkoren

Kranjska Gora, Slovenia's most famous resort, with its large hotels at the foot of the Julian Alps, offers well-arranged, medium-length slopes from easy to sporty, served by modern and older cable cars. Its main henikep is the below-average altitude.

Ski resort Nassfeld

Neither small nor large on the border of Austrian Carinthia and Italy has pleasantly shaped red slopes in a backdrop reminiscent of the Dolomites. The trails with a total length of 111 km spread out in sparsely wooded terrain basins and are especially suitable for the "middle class". Although Nassfeld does not impress with its altitude, it often surprises with a considerable amount of snow.

Ski resort Dreiländereck / Arnoldstein

Dreiländereck on the border of Austria, Italy and Slovenia is a small, clear and friendly ski center with a homely atmosphere, ideal for families, less skilled skiers or beginners. A fast 3-seater runs out of the valley from Arnoldstein, which is surrounded by a long red slope through the forest. At the top, skiers are transported only by lifts scattered along the summit ridge – the slopes are moderate and steeper, but always short with an elevation of up to 200 m. 

Ski tour from Tarvisio to Monte Lussari

This is a classic and quite an easy ski tour to the beautiful small town of Monte Lussari. Starting from a parking lot in Camporosso it leads you through a relatively narrow path in the woods, a classical hike trail during the summer season. Once you reach the top, you can take a rest in one of the sunny terrace of one of the restaurants waiting for you. Way down is on the ski slope, so be aware you have to start your descent latest at 16.00.  Here you can get even more detailed information.

Ski touring in Dobratsch Natural Park - Heiligengeist - Rosstratte - Summit 

In the Dobratsch Natural Park you can choose from various ski tour options for your trip. On your way, you will enjoy numerous unique views and generous wide ski routes. There are three possibilities we recommend. 

Option for the most eager and demanding guests, there is the option to go all the way up from the village of Heiligengeist up to Rosstratte, have a refreshment there and continue from Rosstratte to the Summit. 

Medium ski tour difficulty is offered by the first part of the ski tour from Heiligengeist up to Rosstratte.

If you prefer an easy ski tour option, you can drive up to the Rosstrate parking lot by a car (54 km from the apartment) and take only the second part of the ski tour from Rosstratte to the Summit.

Night Ski tour in Sella Nevea - Skialp in Notturna

On Fridays from the middle of January until the middle of March, there are night ski tours organized at Sella Nevea ski resort. You need to register at the Bar Ristorante Funivia at the main parking lot. Beginning is at 17.00 in the evening and the ascent is on the ski slope. You will need to bring a headlight with you and your ski touring equipment. At the top of the resort in Refugio Gilberti, there is refreshment and a party DJ waiting for all the participants. End of the event is at 21.00.
